Background.
For 2008, the JIE will be hosting Engineers Week. Unlike previous years, a wide range of interactive activities will be presented. Highlights will include a charity 5K road race "Race for Hope", an exposition of engineering products & services and panel discussions.
The theme for 2008 is "Exploring Alternatives". The events will focus on educating engineers, architects, project managers and the wider public onthe various ways in which the pricniples of sustainability can be integrated inengineering designs and design materials. In addition, the Expo will highlight theuse of various alternative forms of energy in Jamaica
