Divisions Meeting:

The JIE Civil and ACMIE Division Committees have scheduled a meeting on Thursday, March 27, 2008, at the Alhambra Inn, located at 1 Tucker Avenue, Kingston 6, commencing at 6:00 p.m. The event will be highlighted by the launch of the committees’ projects for 2008.

The Civil Division’s projects will address the following areas of national concern:

  1. Low Income Housing Solutions
  2. KMA Drainage Considerations
  3. Major Seismic Hazards within Jamaica
  4. Construction Industry Development and Approval Process

The ACMIE Division's projects will address the following:

  1. Solar Power - Practical Approach
  2. Hydropower
  3. Safety
  4. Waste Oil Disposal
  5. Alternative Energy Strategies

An overview of these projects will be presented at this event and we would like to encourage each member to participate and provide feedback regarding the direction of the projects.

The event will culminate with the JIE monthly social (see flyer). Complimentary refreshments will be served. The flyer has been attached for your information.
